Цель урока: Научить извлекать информацию по теме «Ecology. Save the Earth» при просмотре видео фрагментов, создать условия для проявления индивидуальности и познавательной активности ученика.
Задачи урока: Социокультурный аспект – сформировать целостное представление о проблемах экологии, возможных путях их решения; Развивающий аспект – развитие способности осуществлять продуктивные и речевые действия; Воспитательный аспект – воспитание уважительного отношения к иноязычной культуре; Учебный аспект – совершенствование лексичеких навыков: говорения в виде монологической и диалогической речи, совершенствование грамматических навыков (Present Perfect Continuous), развитие навыков аудирования и говорения.

Introduction
Teacher: I want you to guess what we are going to speak about today. To find out the theme of the lesson, let`s watch a video fragment.

Teacher: What is the theme of our lesson?
P1: Ecology.
Teacher: So, the theme of our lesson is ecology “The eco-situation on our planet today” (на экране появляется слайд с темой урока). What is the aim of our lesson?
P2: To review the ideas of green issues.
P3: To practice grammar.

Teacher: You are right. All the ideas of the video in your homework exercise from WB 10 page 52, and now we are going to check it.

(The ecological situation on the planet Earth is bad. Many species of birds and animals are in danger because of air, water and soil pollution. Acid rains poison water and soil. Many species of fish and plants are dying. We must do everything we can to reduce pollution of the environment. We should be friendly to Nature: plant flowers, collect rubbish for recycling, clean our ponds, rivers and lakes. We should try to preserve the natural habitats for animals).
Grammar revision (Present Perfect Continuous Tense)
Teacher: Let`s revise Present Perfect Continuous Tense. When do we use this tense?
P4: We use it when the action began in the past and is still taking place now.
P5: With the emphasis on duration.
Teacher: You are right. Now let`s do some exercises. Look at the blackboard.

Listening. Revising grammar and lexis
Teacher: Now let`s watch another video fragment? And then continue speaking about the eco-situation on our planet.

Teacher: Very soon all of us will become eco-helpers. Cleaning out campaigns or subbotnics are really important. Do you take part in them?
P6: Yes, we do. We take part in cleaning out campaigns every year.
Teacher: What do you have to do or don`t have to do while taking part in them? Please, answer my question using the phrases given on the blackboard. But before doing that I want you to divide into groups. Think about your answers, and then choose one person to present them.

P7: I dig the soil with a spade…

Teacher: Let`s have some fun and solve a crossword puzzle. You can see it on the blackboard and also you have it on the desks. Use pens or pencils to fill in the words and learn the key idea.

P1: What ecological problems have we got?
P2: Factories and power stations burn coal, cars burn petrol and emit toxic fumes. This causes air pollution and acid rain.
P3: Acid rain falls on the earth, seas, rivers, causing water and soil pollution. A lot of fish and plants are dying.
P4: what rules should we follow for saving our planet?
P5: We should use wind or solar power, there will be less pollution.
P6: We should turn off light, TVs, computers when we are not usung them, we`ll save energy.
P7: If we have to drive to work, we should car pool.
P8: We mustn`t throw rubbish.
P9: What dangerous things mustn`t we do?
P10: We mustn`t wipe out plants species and fish/ we mustn`t hurt the Earth.
Homework and summarizing the lesson
Teacher: I thank you for our lesson and think this lesson is very important fjr us, because ECOLOGY is global problem for humanity and everybody must do everything to save our planet and our life.
