Цели мероприятия: повысить интерес к изучению английского языка, познакомить учащихся с традициями празднования Рождества в Великобритании и России.
Задачи мероприятия: I Образовательная:
-расширение кругозора учащихся.
II Воспитательные:
-развитие творческих способностей учащихся, формирование мотивации к изучению английского языка.
III Развивающая:
-развитие интереса к культуре и традициям разных народов.
Оборудование: сцена украшена гирляндами, снежинками, используется плакат с изображением Биг Бена, плакат с изображением камина, в центре зала стоит ёлка с игрушками, изготовлены муляжи различных блюд, посох со звездой, муляжи подарков, минусовки песен «We wish you a merry Christmas», «Silent Night», «Auld Lang Syne», презентация по теме «Рождение Иисуса Христа», использование проектора.
Ход мероприятия
Narrator: «Hello, dear friends! We are glad to see you at our holiday at this magic hall. Have a look at how Christmas and New Year is celebrated in Great Britain and Russia. »
На заднем плане сцены-декорация стены комнаты с окном и камином. На сцене два кресла и диван. В середине-Рождественская ёлка. Она наряжена, но не до конца. Звучит рождественская песня «WhenChristmasisnear».
На сцене появляется мама с двумя сыновьями и дочерью. Онизаканчиваютукрашатьёлку.
Jane: I enjoy the Christmas season very much.
Bill: So do I.
Sam: (входит) Oh, how beautiful the Christmas tree is.
Father: You have decorated it fantastically. I brought you some new toys. We shall have a lot of joy and happiness. You know I have just seen how people help each other on the Christmas Eve.
Jane: Dad, today we have seen «A Christmas carol» by Charles Dickens.
Mother: I like it too. It teachers us to be kind and helpful.
Sam: Daddy, will Santa Claus bring us presents?
Father: Well, the spirit of X-mas comes to the houses with Santa Claus.
Mother: He drives his sleigh over the rooftops and slides down the chimneys to fill the children’s stockings…
Father: …but only if…
Bill: …only what?
Father: Only if they are good little children.
Jane: And if not?
Mother: He leaves a piece of coal.
Jane: And what about me? Have I been good?
Father: Yes you’re all good, kids.
Jane: So, I’ll hang my stocking over the fireplace. (подходит к камину и вешает свой носок)
Mother: I’m sure your brothers may leave their stockings out for Santa to fill with presents, too. (Подходятккаминуивешаютсвоиноски)
Father: (встаёт) Well, dear children, you know Santa comes only if you’re asleep. And it’s time to go to bed. Mom will read you the poem «The night before Christmas» and I’ll sing you a carol «Silent night».
Bill: But before that may I put some cookies out for Santa?
Father: Do, please.
Дети кладут печенье под ёлку.
Father: Mother: good night, kids.
Children: Good night, dad, good night, mom.
Папа и мама начинают петь «SilentNight». Дети спят. Родители поправляют пледы, которыми накрылись дети, кладут подарки в носочки и под ёлку и уходят…

Narrator: « The Christmas night has finished. Children have got their presents. But the festival of Christmas will run on well into the New Year. On the evening of December 31st, people gather in one another’s homes, in clubs, in pubs, in restaurants, and hotels, in dance halls and institutes, to «see the New Year in».
The traditional English dinner on Christmas is turkey and pudding.
There is usually a supper of some kind, and a cabaret, or light entertainment. All over Britain there are parties, fireworks, singing and dancing, to ring out the old year and ring in the new. As the clock-Big ben-strikes midnight, people link arms and sing a song called Auld Lang Syne. It reminds them of old and new friends. (Children sing «Auld Lang Syne»)
Herald: «Listen to me, all the inhabitants of Great Russia! By order of Peter the Great the New Year is celebrated on the 1. of January. You must decorate fir-trees and give each other presents.»
Scene: Father, mother and their children decorate their fir-trees with lights and toys.
Mary: How beautiful is our tree!
Mike: how many beautiful toys! Look at them!
Mary: What is it?
Father: It is a Bethlehem star.
Father: well, the candles are lit, the Christmas tree is glittering with lights. It’s time to go to bed. If you go to bed father Frost will go and bring you a lot of presents.
(Children fell asleep. Their parents put their presents under the New Year tree. They also give presents to each other.)
Narrator: «The next morning children woke up and became to look for their presents. »
Mary: « What a nice doll I have! »
Mike: «This is just a car I have ever dreamt. »
Narrator: « A week later. Christmas is celebrated in Russia on the 7th of January. People light up a large shining star at the top of the Christmas tree. Father comes up to the Christmas tree and say: «Let’s light our star up! »
Mike: Father, what is a Bethlehem star?
Father: «It’s a symbol of Christmas. Everybody of you has his own birthday which is celebrated with a light pie and tasty lemonade. But this occasion is something special; this is birthday of Jesus, our Savior. He was born on the 7th of January, nearly 2000 years ago. Are you interested how it happened? So listen… (Video presentation. Narrator tells his story about it)»
- About 2000 years ago in the town of Nazareth the carpenter Joseph lived.
- Joseph had a wife, Maria. The angel Gabriel once came to her and said: «You will give birth to a son and give the name of Jesus. »
- He will be great as the son of the God.
- The angel of the god appeared to joseph in a dream, « Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take to you Maria your wife, for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit. »
- Joseph and Maria had to go to Bethlehem.
- Joseph and Maria journeyed many days and nights.
- There was no place in the inn.
- So Maria gave t birth to her first son, swaddled him and put him into the manger with the animals.
- Hence… the Savior was born in a Manger in the city of Bethlehem.
- The angel of the Lord appeared to shepherds with the announcement of the savior’s birth.
- The shepherds travelled to Bethlehem and found Joseph, Mary and the child in a manger.
- The shepherds returned after worshiping the Savior.
- Wise men from the East travelled following a star.
- The star stood over Bethlehem where Christ was born.
- When they saw the child, they fell down and worshipped Him.
- They presented the child with gifts.
- Jesus Christ was born as an ordinary man to save all people.
- AMEN
Father: « The first star is visible in the night sky. It’s time to set the table for dinner. I have cooked fish; here is a pig and a duck. I have cooked lot of pies and cookies. It’s time to sit down at table. (The children with the self-made star appear, sing a carol song devoted to Christmas.) »
Children: May we sing a carol song?
Father: Yes, youmay.
Методический комментарий.
Всем известно, что праздники являются неотъемлемой частью нашей жизни. Они помогают нам понять глубже историю, традиции и обычаи любой страны. Все праздники вызывают интерес, но самым загадочным по нашему мнению является Рождество, т.к. он интересен с точки зрения организации, проведения, символики и его значения в жизни людей.
В своём мероприятии мы рассмотрели следующие рождественские традиции: украшать ёлки, дарить подарки, помогать бедным и нуждающимся, собираться за праздничным столом, устраивать костюмированные гуляния для отпугивания потусторонней силы на Колядки, посещать храм в честь праздника, принимать гостей. Это общие традиции, как для России, так и для Англии. Но некоторые традиции различаются.
В Англии, в ночь с 24 на 25 декабря дети ждут чудес и поэтому развешивают чулки над кроватью или камином или кладут их под ёлку. Рождественские чулки гораздо больше настоящих и красиво раскрашены. Надо сказать, что даже взрослые вешают чулки на камины.Обычай складывать подарки в чулок или носок связан с викторианской Англией, для него существует такое объяснение: “Рождественский дед” путешествовал по воздуху и проникал в дома через дымовую трубу. Спускаясь в один из домов, он обронил несколько золотых монет в носок, который повесили сушиться над очагом. С тех пор в Рождественский Сочельник на камин стали вывешивать “носки и чулки в надежде, что туда что-нибудь упадет”.В Британии дети очень ждут Санту, потому что он придёт и принесёт подарки, но они знают, что он приходит только к послушным детям.
А в России на Рождество принято класть подарки под ёлку, ходить друг к другу в гости с
подарками, обязательно приносить подарки детям.
По традиции за рождественским обедом собираются всей семьей, а праздничный стол украшают традиционными блюдами, которые для каждой страны свои. В Англии обязательные блюда на Рождество - запеченная в духовке индейка под соусом из крыжовника и рождественский пудинг. Рождественский пудинг – это главное угощение для детей. Часто хозяйки запекают кольцо или монету в пудинг. А заканчивается обед маленькими сладкими пирожками, которые дети очень любят. А в России на праздничный стол подают зажаренного молочного поросёнка, обязательно рыбу, пекут пироги и сладости для детей.
Рождество в России, Англии и США имеет сходства и различия. Также следует добавить, что в России в настоящее время Рождество празднуется не так пышно как в англоговорящих странах, но, тем не менее, люди понимают важность праздника и возрождают его традиции.
Детям праздник очень понравился. Они узнали много нового о праздновании Рождества в Англии и России.
