Ежегодный фестиваль песни на английском языке

Уже более 15 лет в рамках недели иностранного языка ШМО учителей английского языка МБОУ Гимназия № 1 г. Краснознаменск МО проводит Фестиваль песни для 8-10 классов. Мы отказались от традиционной системы подготовки к внеурочному мероприятию: учитель пишет\скачивает сценарий, затем раздает слова и песни, репетирует с ребятами и на выходе мы получаем «образцовый» продукт. Мы предлагаем воспользоваться нашим 15-летним опытом и поменять направление: не от учителей к детям, а от детей к учителям. Если обратиться к методике, мы ежегодно осуществляем краткосрочный групповой проект.
Ученики нашей школы знают, что те, кто хочет выступить, узнают за месяц тему Фестиваля, подбирают песни, которые они хотели бы исполнить (по своему вокалу, интересам, увлечениям определенным жанром) и сдают названия песен ответственному учителю (обычно два учителя отвечают за фестиваль). Затем учителя пишут сценарий, вплетая туда данные песни, создавая ситуации и образы.
Следующий шаг: учителя и ребята собираются вместе, читают сценарий, редактируют, обговаривают костюмы, театральное действие, порядок выступления, приглашаются ведущие. Окончательный вариант сценария претерпевает множество изменений и становится общим творчеством. Наш зам.директора по воспитательной работе (она же руководитель школьного хора) подтягивает исполнение до высокого уровня и в вокале и в умении держать себя на сцене.
Зрители приходят только по желанию, и поверьте, в зале мало свободных мест, ведь это творчество самих учащихся.
Поскольку в рамках предметной недели мы проводим еще конкурс чтецов стихотворений на заданную тему (фонетический конкурс 4-6 классы), мы стараемся вплести в сценарий и стихи, выбранные победителями, в наш сценарий. Победителям оказана честь выступить на фестивале для старшей школы. Старшеклассники (обычно это ведущие) берут шефство над учащими младшей школы, показывают как выйти, как держаться, как декламировать, когда отдать микрофон. Так закладывается преемственность,

P1:Hello, everybody! We are glad to see you in our assembly hall! Christmas is coming! The best holiday in the world!
P 2: Christmas is the celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ whose birth changed the whole world.
P1: Jesus was born in a little town of Bethlehem over 2,000 years ago. His mother was the Virgin Mary. When He was born, two angels proclaimed it to shepherds in the field.

Наrk! The herald angels sing,
Glory to the newborn king!

With angelic host proclaim,
Christ is born in Bethlehem!
P2: There was a bright star shining over the stable in Bethlehem, where Jesus was born. It was so bright that it made theshepherd(three wise men from the East)follow it. It led them to Bethlehem.
P1: Here we see some shepherds.
P2: Exactly! They spread the news and people learnt about the birth of an extraordinary Child who became Christ the Lord.

P1: There are a lot of Christmas traditions. On Christmas eve the English people decorate the Christmas tree. In Great Britain, the Christmas tree became popular while Queen Victoria ruled the country.
P2: Besides the Christmas tree, holly and mistletoe are used to decorate the house. Branches of holly are put up behind pictures and mistletoe is hung over doors, so the young people have a chance to kiss the girls under it. It is said that the girl who was not kissed under it at Christmas would not get married that year.

P 1: Before Christmas, groups of singers go from house to house. Children come to front doors and start singing traditional Christmas carols.
P2: People who live in these houses give children candies, nuts, pies to thank them for carol singing.The children also collect money for charity.

P1:Each year, it is traditional to give gifts at Christmas. Do you know who give presents to children?
P 2:Sure. He is Santa Claus.
P1: No, in the UK they call him is Father Christmas.
P2: But both Santa Claus and Father Christmas got their names from a man known as St. Nicolas, who lived in the fourth century.
P1: Father Christmas lives on the North Pole with his wife, elves and reindeer. Elves help him to fulfill requests of millions of children who write letters to Santa.

P2: Can you hear those bells? That is Santa with his red–nosed reindeer Rudolph coming.

Р2: What is New Year for people? It’s time of joy and happiness, presents and party. But first of all it’s time of hope. Time when you want something incredible, unusual, you want a miracle. And what is a miracle for us? Certainly, it is love. We want to show you such a miracle that happened on New Year Eve.

P2: And they went around Moscow, skated on the ice rink in Red Square. Everybody was preparing to Christmas, and there were music in each café.

Student 2 Fine!!!! What a terrible weather. It has been raining for the whole day. Where is snow? I don’t feel Christmas spirit at all.
Student 1 You are right about the weather, not about the spirit. Christmas is inside of us. We just should find it out.

Boy: In opposite, Moscow is covered by snow, and it’s minus 20. But it’s lovely everything is white and shimmering, children are playing snowballs. New Year is a time of joy. There is a joke that Russian people spend the whole year preparing to celebrate New Year
