Предисловие
В данной методической разработке приводится итоговый урок-игра по результатам выполненных индивидуальных проектных работ учащихся 10 класса нашей школы по теме: «Путешествие по Америке». Формат темы был основан на языковом материале в рамках установленных ФГОС
Как известно, использование игровых элементов при обучении английскому языку, обеспечивает реалии системно – деятельностного подхода. Для ученика учебная игра является развлечением, для учителя - это прежде всего упражнение, тренинг того или иного языкового явления. Через игру решаются несколько коммуникативных задач: наглядность, активизация и закрепление изучаемого материала в речевых ситуациях, совершенствование в речевых навыках, способствует повышению качества знаний и интересу к предмету. Следует обратить внимание на то, что игра предполагает взаимодействие между учителем и учениками, учениками и учениками, то есть, обязательное условие интерактивности.
В приводимой ниже разработке когнитивной целью является систематизация и обобщение лексико-грамматических знаний по теме США, в рамках ФГОС обучения для данной группы учащихся.
Образовательными средствами являются:
1. интернет – ресурсы
2. электронная презентация
Данная страноведческая тема требует визуализации, дополнительных интернет знаний и тогда учащиеся с удовольствием применяют свои навыки в этом направлении.
Поэтому цели урока следующие:
1.личностные: воспитание уважения к стране изучаемого языка. Воспитание духа здорового соперничества и желание участвовать в игре и одержать в ней победу.
2.метапредметные: закрепление страноведческого и лексико-грамматического материала по теме США. Дальнейшее развитие навыков монологической и диалогической речи.
3.предметные: умение соотносить визуальный образ (изображение на слайде) с вопросом и правильное речевое реагирование.

Ход урока
I. Good afternoon, everybody!Today we shall not read texts or learn dialogues. We were busy doing all that at the previous lessons. Today we shall speak about America. We made acquaintance with this country.
Today’s lesson is unusual. We shall play. On board we have got the chart with 9 fields representing the questions on the topic “the USA”. You have to answer these questions. You were divided into 2 teams. The teams have the captains. The teams in turn choose any field. If the members of the team answer correctly they will receive one point.
At last 1 team is called “Melting pot”. The 2 team is called “Cool beavers”.
II. Before the game I want us to see the musical slideshow “Across America” and to enjoy the beauty of America’s nature.
III. Now let’s begin the game!

How does the USA go from? The USA goes from the shores of the Atlantic Ocean to the islands of Hawaii in the Pacific - from cold, snowy northern Alaska to sunny Florida and California in the south. |
2. Rivers |
What are the main rivers of the USA? Many rivers cross the USA. The greatest is the mighty Mississippi. The other big rivers are the Colorado and the Missouri. |
3. Type of lands |
What kinds of land can you name in the USA? The USA has many kinds of lands - rocky coasts, dry empty deserts, big rivers, wide plains and grasslands, lakes of all sizes, big mountains, great forests, sunny beaches, lands of endless winter. |
4. Population of the USA |
What is the population of the USA? Speak about Melting pot!Now the population is about 281 million people. American People is a mixture of many different nationalities. The USA is the big melting pot of countries where people came from Europe, China, Africa, South America and South-East Asia. |
5. BranchesofGovernment |
How many branches of Government are there in the USA? There are 3 branches of Government: the Congress, the President and his helpers and the Supreme Court. |
6. Presidentsof the USA |
Who was the first American president? Who is the president now? George Washington became the first president. Now the president is Barak Obama. He was rewarded by the Nobel price of peace two years ago ego. |
7. DiscoveryofAmerica |
Who discovered America? It was Christopher Columbus. He was born in Italy. He lived in Spain. He was looking for India, but landed in Central America. |
8. Americanflag |
Describe the American flag (called “the Stars & Stripes”)! It is red, white and blue. There are 50 states in the USA. Each star is for each state. There were 13 colonies in the USA at first, so one stripe is for each of them. They call the flag “the Stars & Stripes”. |
9. National Symbol of the USA |
The eagle became the official National Symbol of the USA, didn’t it? (What does it mean an olive branch and arrows?). The eagle became the official National Symbol of the USA in 1782. An olive branch is a symbol of peace. Arrows are a symbol of strength. |
IV. После завершения игры учитель оценивает ответы учащихся и выставляет баллы каждой команде. Cм. Приложения 1, 2.
V. Учитель раздает всем участникам игры бланки с заданиями для проверки усвоения знаний, полученных на проведенном уроке.
