Тема: “Презентация проекта по развитию туристского центра“ (Anewmoderntouristdestination).
Цели урока:
Практические: совершенствование лексических и грамматических навыков говорения в устной монологической речи,
Развивающие: формирование и развитие учебно-организационных компетенций (взаимоконтроль, самостоятельная работа, коллективная деятельность), содействие установлению прочных связей между накопленным и новым опытом познавательной и практической деятельности.
Воспитательные: активизация познавательной инициативы и формирование социальной компетентности.
Тип урока: комбинированный – комплексное применение знаний с использованием электронно-образовательных ресурсов.
Материальное оснащение урока: доска, компьютер, проектор, интернет ресурсы, карточки для работы в группах
Ход урока
1. Орг. Момент. Приветствие. Настрой студентов на атмосферу иноязычного общения: постановка целей и задач урока, информация о
ходеурока.

Teacher (T): Good morning everyone! Nice to see you again!
Students (S): Greet the teacher.
T: Is anyone absent today?
S: If there are any they say.
T: Today we have gathered here because we are all united with one interesting idea of making an island into a new modern tourist destination. And I am really keen on this work as I am always happy to listen to your interesting ideas, which sometimes sound fantastic. It is your first project work, how did you like it? Was it interesting? Did everyone manage to prepare? Are you ready with your presentations?
S: Say they are ready.
T: So, today we have a lot to do. First, we will speak about general things concerning making presentations then we will remind our last lesson dealing with some ideas of converting an island into a resort, after that we will have some group work. And of course, we will be listening to you and discussing your own presentations.
2. Работа с группой. Фронтальный опрос с целью расширения практики речевого общения, закрепление связей между накопленным и новым опытом познавательной и практической деятельности.

T: As it is your first presentation (project work) let`s have a small talk about it. I`d like you to answer some questions: Why is it an important professional skill for those who work in the tourism industry?
S: It is a simple way of giving information. One picture can be used instead of many words.
T: What resources did you use?
S: Of course the Internet. And Power Point.
T: What makes a good presentation? What things make it effective?
S: Presentations need to be well organised and well delivered.
T: What language is usually used?
S: It is professional English with the appropriate expressions.
T: What will you start your presentation with?
S: Introducing yourself and what you are going to talk about: I am… Today I am going to talk about…
T: What expressions can organize the selected material?
S: First of all, I`d like to … Then I`ll talk about… Finally, I`ll talk…
T: How will you present the advantages and disadvantages of each point?
S: The main advantage of this is that…
T: And how will you conclude your presentation?
S: To sum up… In conclusion… This may be the end of my presentation…
T: I can agree with you, these are general rules. But never forget to sound confident and convincing.
3. Работа с группой. Фронтальный опрос с целью активизации и совершенствования актуального словарного запаса, продуктивного взаимодействия студентов в решении поставленной задачи.

T: Last week at our lesson we listened to a small talk offered by the authors of our textbook. Do you remember what this talk was about?
S: It was a small presentation on converting an island into a resort.
T: Why was it important for the people who live there?
S: They wanted to make the island famous, invite tourists, holidaymakers, improve economy of the island.
T: That`s correct. Now I want you to discuss the following. In your presentations you offered different changes to improve your island. And we all know that any changes have both positive and negative sides. Now think and write your ideas about such changes, about advantages (positive sides) and disadvantages (negative sides) of human (people`s) activities. But before that I would like you to divide into two groups.
4. Работа в группах. Все делятся на 2 группы по 4-5 человек. Одна группа готовит список возможных преимуществ при подобной реконструкции, другая – недостатков.
Цель: самостоятельное высказывание предположений, обсуждение проблемных вопросов, активизация словарного запаса, познавательной инициативы.
Предлагаемые вопросы способствуют концентрации внимания на важной информации. Ответыустные, допустимыреплики.

T: What changes do people usually do in such cases? What do they start with?
S: They build something.
T: What can we (people) build to make a place a popular tourist destination?
S: New hotels, restaurants, cafes, fun areas, aqua parks, oceanariums, children playgrounds, casinos, shops, markets even sea ports and airports.
T: What do people do if the place (island) is covered with forest?
S: They have to cut it.

5. Каждая группа выбирает карточку с заголовком « + Advantages» или « -Disadvantages», идет обсуждение и составление списков. По истечении времени студенты предлагают свои варианты. Представитель от группы обобщает информацию. Карточки с примерными ответами для обсуждения выглядят так:

Студенты могут дополнять друг друга, оспаривать мнения. Завершаетдискуссиюпреподаватель.
T: Of course, when new roads, hotels and shops appear people can get good opportunities for careers, new jobs. They get more money and pay taxes. The more money they get, the more taxes they pay, the more taxes they pay, the richer becomes the country, the higher grows the economy.
But on the other side – imagine: there are local people who live in small villages (residents, islanders who live quiet, peaceful life) they know each other, help each other (they may not have TV or internet), what can happen to them? What can happen to their small businesses when big business comes?
S: Big business ruins the small one.
T: Certainly, small business ruins, becomes destroyed, disappears. So young people and old ones lose their work. And who knows what happens to the environment when people start building new houses made of glass and concrete – modern hotels, shops, airports and roads?
S: The air and water become polluted. There is more noise, more danger for local people and children. They can feel unhappy. And there may even be conflicts between local people and holidaymakers.
T: That`s correct. And now we are getting to a very important part of our lesson -your projects made in the form of Power Point presentation. The topic of your project is on this slide: ‘A new modern tourist destination”.

Take turns and give your presentations to the class and after that we will have some discussion. Butfirstreadthetaskonthenextslide:

“Listen and think what project is the most environmentally friendly” this is the task for everyone. So, in the end we are going to discuss your projects and vote the for most appropriate and effective.
6. Просмотр презентаций. Студенты по очереди представляют свой материал на компьютере.
Цель: актуализация речевых компетенций с учетом нового уровня мотивации студентов, которая характеризуется самостоятельностью при постановке целей, поиске информации, овладении учебными действиями, осуществлении самостоятельного контроля и оценки деятельности.
