Данная методическая разработка является результатом совместного творчества учителя и учеников 9 класса, сдававших ГИА по английскому языку. Поскольку наш лицей имеет медицинский профиль, эта тема является очень актуальной и полезной для ребят, особенно в связи с выбором профессии врача в будущем.
Pros and cons of being a doctor
There are many reasons to become a doctor, and each year thousands of people enter medical school, despite the long years of education and the tiring working hours facing them. I share my reasons for considering medicine as a career.
If anatomy and physiology fascinate you - you can spend hours reading on the net about the human body - its complexity and intrigues you and you always want to learn more. If you love helping and interacting with people - it gives you a buzz.
What inspires me is the opportunity to help people with their problems.
It is an interesting profession. I understand that it is necessary to study a lot to become a doctor. I also understand that this profession requires great responsibility because it deals with the most precious thing that a person has - with his health. For example, if I work as a surgeon - after each operation I take care of patients until they are recovered.
I must be very attentive and responsible and instruct my patients in detail what they can do and eat to become healthy. I also suppose that it might be hard to see people in pain day by day.
People trust doctors the main what they have – our life and that’s why a doctor must be a qualified specialist. He must help people at any time of the day. A doctor can’t make a mistake. Human life often depends on professionalism of a doctor. They must be very heedful and openhearted people. A doctor always must worry about a health of his patient. He must be able to inspire patients with faith.
But anyway a doctor has a challenging, fascinating and rewarding career.
